Its very easy to lose weight. What I did is that I almost stoped eating for like 1 month. I only ate the minimum of food I could eat without dying of hunger (normal food, no stupid diet). I drank alot of water and smoked alot of cigarets. After 2 or 3 days, you get used to it. Lost 20 kilos in like 1 month. No diet, no strategy, no plan, nothing. Just be careful no to lose to much weight.

i agree with just about everything you said…except the butter! cold-pressed oil? yes. avocado (i.e., “God’s Butter”)? HELL YES! but NO ONE needs all that cholesterol from butter!

About this starvation mode when the thyroid slows down the metabolism if you eat alot less…How fast does it go back to normal once you eat normal again? a few days? weeks? months? or what? anyone know?

do you think you can change your body in one week by going crazy and working out ******** for 115 hours in 1 week?

  11. Comment by The1DrShade — March 13, 2010 @ 8:55 am

Forgot to say those 2,700 calories are from 6-8 small meals a day so I eat a little often which is important to stop your metabolism from dropping & storing fat

This bloke is spot on with what he’s just said here, I weigh about 165lbs & I eat about 2,700 calories per day…. These are good calories & a balanced diet, I’m constantly building lean muscle & losing body fat, I use the definition of my 6 pack to gauge this. I do about 30 mins of intense cardio 3 times a week & lift weights at the gym 3/4 times a week & I’m ripped.

you’re fine with the good mix of weight training and cardio, however since you’ve been going on for a couple of months now, i suggest you up your calories to promote muscle growth which will then increase your BMR, and inevitably help you lose fat faster. remember to always get a good amount of complex carbs for your usual meals and simple carbs for post-workout to replenish your glycogen levels. have protein rich food to promote muscle growth and don’t forget your vegs.

Good information. lift weights, do cardio, and eat right. 80% diet – 20% gym work.

I weight train one day and do cardio next day, switching off like that, while on a low calorie diet. Is this effective? ive lost about 30-40 pounds in 3-4 months, and i dont think ive lost muscle mass because i can lift heavier than what i started at the beginning of this plan. Is it effective or still bad?

I’m a bit ill atm, but I will start my new training period soon. Then I will see if I can continue with doing it. I hope training can be a part of my day. I really want to lose the fat and be in shape.
Thank you for your time and help guys. I really appreciate it.

u need to get to a stage where ur fit and u automatically want to train. Its easier to just do it than to keep thinking about it. Buy a pullup bar off ebay so that u have something to make sure ur maintaining while ur busy, instead of going backwards its easier to maintain muscle than rebuild it.Pullups are so good for ur shoulders same with rockclimbing but the intensity of ur cardio and weight seshs can play a pretty big role in achieving ur goals quicker

Do weights every other day. And cardio the days you don’t do weights. Also do different types of cardio. It will make it more interesting. You could run, do squates, yoga, plyometrics (legs, and jumping), you could even punch a punching bag for a while.

    Thank you.
I will try mix it up, but the major problem for me has been motivation. I have been doing some cardio for like a week or two, but then I get lazy and don’t do it. I have been in the same situation couple of times. I really need to start doing cardio again and continue doing it for a longer period..
    I just need some motivation.

Maybe try and integrate cardio every day like ride a bike to work if ur within 10ks of work. And weight train every second day if u can. That’s what i try to do but i get lazy sometimes. You can train like hell like weights cardio etc but u need motivation and to mix it up every day. U need a system in place for it like what am i gonna do each day, try to maximise ur time spent in the gym (technique etc). If ur doing this you will have to eat healthily otherwise u will burn out.
